Wet, Wet Wednesday

Rain was predicted during the week we were away, however I didn't take it seriously because the rainy season should be over by now...except in the Cape where they get winter rainfall.

So the rain did come and it fell in buckets...pouring down with hail stones in between.

We had thought we might take a trip to the zoo but after seeing and hearing the rain, the concensus was to stay in. Johan watched some DSTV sport until Bakkies arrived home in the middle of the morning and then he helped the rest of the day to sort through and 'dust' each of the birds one by one to rid them of parasites.

NiQi and I worked on our crafts, watched a bit of TV and I spent some time reading my book.  I was ambitious taking 4 books with me to read and at the end of our time away came away having read just one and a half...lol

After the rain the temperatures were much cooler...brrrr...but how we enjoyed it...
Being allergic to dog hair, Daleen has two hairless dogs...which look most unusual...but they are so sweet....and they have an array of jackets that they wear to keep them nice and snug...just too cute.

So for two days while the rain fell on and off and the road in and out of Maselspoort flooded, we chilled, relaxed and enjoyed having time out...
